Wondertoy: Model Sheet WIP

Just finished up a little bit more of Ruth's model sheet designs. I think its easier doing model sheets in photoshop - you can alter transparency to make tracings, measure stuff out, and tons more. More accuracy.

Anyway, here ya go - this is certainly taking longer than I thought! lol

Its worth it though...

Wondertoy: Random

Knocking out random stuff. Today wasn't as successful in the drawing department. Was drawing for +4 hours today and got nothing really accomplished. Ugh!

To add insult to injury, I show my Mom the designs for the creepy toy. She says its cute. I then say, imagine its alive, 9 feet tall, has glowing red eyes and blood pouring from its mouth and a creepy dead girl crawling out... She goes, "Yeah, well its still cute."

...FML.

The Glory of Wondertoy

Hey all!

So it's 5:40 am on a Fri-... no wait, it's Saturday now...

I just finished doing a few hours of concept sketching in photoshop of my main character, Ruth, from the Wondertoy animated short I'm planning. I also finished revising the script and thank God I did cuz it was so refreshing going a second time around and reading it as if I were an audience member. SO many more blatant improvements were made!

I get into these zones where sometimes I'm on point and sometimes I'm not. But it's tricky... Sometimes I can draw and not write, or write and not draw (well). So I may really actually feel like drawing but can't cuz the mojo isn't there, so I end up writing some gold. Or vice-versa. 

Anyway, I'll just say that the revisions to Wondertoy have made the story, truly, creepy as shit. Shit isn't creepy, necessarily, but you know what I mean. 

Scary. Genuinely scary. Maybe that's why I didn't go to sleep and I'm still awake at 5:43 am... lol.

I'll just say I'm real excited about Wondertoy and it's progress, and I can't wait to show the world what I'm truly capable of! 

Oh - and I also finished another song for the soundtrack, totaling 6 (or is it 7) creepy songs of awesomeness! Yay for extremely amazing progress!

I've been home for two weeks and I already wrote two short stories, character concepts, and made 7 songs... I like where this is going! So much for me believing that I get lazier during vacations and breaks, huh.
